Team Status Update

Hey Guys,

I recently spoke to Seabass, and due to an overwhelming class schedule with his new school, and a few other conflicts, he has decided to take a little bit of a hiatus. At this time I do not have many details and am not sure how long is in planning on being gone, but for the moment the Team Fortress 2 servers will remain offline. As you have noticed I have closed recruitment for both divisions due to his absence, and starting tomorrow I will begin removal of a good portion of the Gangsta Gang members. I have made this choice based on the fact that many members have abandoned the team due to the downfall of the Team Fortress Division, which at one time was our strongest division. The members I will choose to keep are the ones that have remained active, whether it be by e-mail, on the forums, or on the Ventrilo. This change will most likely effect only TF2 division members and only the inactive ones. My other reason for this choice is that it is unfair to keep people waiting for something that may not happen, in reference to the Team Fortress 2 servers. I am not announcing that they will never come back online, because at this moment that is unclear due to the fact of my lack of information on Seabass.

Please do not consider this as a terminal demise of the team. Instead of thinking of it as that, I like to think of it as a reshaping and reinvention. Until I know for sure what Seabass is going to due, I'm going to begin shifting the focus of the team more to the Counter-Strike: Source division and hoping for the best possible outcome. This all may sound very vague or alarming, but please note that most of this is worst case scenario, and I will keep you posted with more information as time goes on.

Peace and Many Thanks,

[GG] Zach Bach CPT

Zach, what the hell have you been doing?.

Well, I have currently been slaving away on creating a useful members area which I have finally decided will run like a Microsoft Exchange Server environment, minus the Microsoft. I'm sure many of you are familiar with Exchange server, perhaps at school or at work (check when you login to your school e-mail if it has the Microsoft logo somewhere). What I plan on doing is creating a clan wide calendar and to do list, which everyone has the ability to edit and view who is a part of Gangsta Gang. Along with this, each member will get his own "gangstagang.com" e-mail address which will get downloaded into their member area inbox, but will be hosted by G-Mail Apps for Websites, giving you 7 gigabytes e-mail storage. Also, you will be able to configure your members area account to download e-mails from any other POP or IMAP e-mail server you chose. So basically you will be able to view all your e-mail accounts within the [GG] member area, and have the ability to post events such as scrims and meetings the whole team will be able to see. This is the goal, and I'm coming close to finishing it. Stay tuned for more information.
